The 5th installation of the Creature Feature collection， and it gave me ALL the heebie-jeebies 😬I would give this like， a 3。5 star rating， rounded down。 Another super quick read， even quicker than the 3rd book of the collection， It Waits in the Woods （seriously， it was maybe a 30min read！）。 I think I preferred the tension and the build in IWITW a bit better， but both of these were equally creepy！ Not sure how many more of these I'll read in the series–the title "Ankle Snatcher" REALLY doesn't do The 5th installation of the Creature Feature collection， and it gave me ALL the heebie-jeebies 😬I would give this like， a 3。5 star rating， rounded down。 Another super quick read， even quicker than the 3rd book of the collection， It Waits in the Woods （seriously， it was maybe a 30min read！）。 I think I preferred the tension and the build in IWITW a bit better， but both of these were equally creepy！ Not sure how many more of these I'll read in the series–the title "Ankle Snatcher" REALLY doesn't do it for me！！Unrelated， but there was a phrase along the lines of "stolen from me like a damn vampire" in this book， and I had to lol for a bit bc all I could hear in my head was Olivia Rodrigo belting out her song 🧛♀️ 。。。more

This would make SUCH a good novel。 My only issues were it felt SO rushed。 This story has so much potential - I would love more details about Barry & Wills friendship， all the ways their luck played a part。 How did he get famous？ How did he get rich？ I have so many questions。 I really just wish this story was longer， I really loved the premise！

I really enjoyed this one and pretty cold and dark。 Had me guessing all the way through as to whether the guys view on what was happening was real or not。 Amazed by how much a short story like this can pull you in！

Got distracted and had to start this one over a couple of times。 （A not uncommon problem when reading audiobooks。） Mostly I kept missing when the story in the story transitioned back to the main story。 And the main story was definitely a bit unsettling。
